Keto Easter Dessert Recipe – Easy Low Carb Sugar Free Chocolate Easter Candy Nests – How To Make Ketogenic Treat Desserts Recipes – with video.
Keto Easter Dessert Recipe
This Keto Easter Dessert Recipe is quick to make and is a tasty treat that will keep you on plan and help you resist temptation over the Easter period, especially a tempting chocolate Easter bunny or hot cross buns.
This keto recipe is my version of chocolate Easter nests, peanut butter eggs or Easter baskets.
Instead of using carby ingredients, I’ve gone for the healthier option of including simple ingredients of nuts, coconut and peanut butter to construct the tasty treats, instead of white sugars that you’ll often find in similar Easter classic recipes like an Easter basket.
The ketogenic diet nests need to made ahead of time and then you can just store them in a container in the fridge to enjoy whenever sweet cravings strike.
Plus, they are low in net carbs and loaded with healthy fats and protein, so that are actually good for you and perfect to include in your keto meal plan. (As opposed to sugar loaded carb full traditional Easter eggs!)
The best part is that you only need minutes of prep time to create these perfect keto Easter dessert treat, that you can really enjoy any time of year because they are so much fun to make and a delightful low carb dessert to enjoy.
To make the dark chocolate nests is easy. Simply mix together the dry ingredients of flaked almonds and coconut in a medium bowl. I’d suggest using the flaked almond in the easy recipe and avoiding the temptation to swap for almond flour or coconut flour.
Then, melt the peanut butter, butter, cocoa powder and stevia together until smooth and creamy. Feel free to swap the stevia for monk fruit sweetener or your keto friendly sugar free sweetener of choice.
You can enhance the flavor of the sweet treats by adding in a pinch of sea salt or half a teaspoon of vanilla extract. You can stir sugar free chocolate chips or keto sprinkles through the mixture for extra indulgent homemade keto treats.
Pour the wet ingredients mixture over the bowl with the nuts and then drop a couple of spoons into cupcake liners lined up on a baking sheet. (Like these on Amazon.)
Then just pop them into the fridge for a few hours to harden and enjoy over the Easter season or anytime you’re craving a no bake treat on your Keto journey.
You can enjoy a couple as a delicious breakfast or Easter brunch with a cup of Keto coffee, tea or hot chocolate or serve following your Easter meal as the perfect treat that the whole family will happily devour.
The great dessert will also satisfy your sweet tooth and help you on your way to achieving your health and weight loss goals.
