Low Carb Uses For Cheese Sauce
There are plenty of low carb friendly ways to enjoy this cheese sauce. Here are some ideas:
- Over broccoli
- Over cauliflower
- In a tuna mornay
- As a lasagna cheese sauce
- As a mac and cheese sauce (with cauliflower instead of pasta)
- With green beans
- As a sauce for meat, chicken or pork
I’ve suggested a quarter to a half a cup of each ingredient because it depends on how you’ll be enjoying the sauce.
As a sauce for vegetables I’d go for a quarter of a cup of sour cream and cheese and a half a cup of grated cheese. For a dish like a low carb mac and cheese I’d go for double the amount.
Keto Cheese Sauce Recipe
- 1/4 to 1/2 Cup Sour Cream
- 1/4 to 1/2 Cup Almond Milk
- 1/2 to 1 Cup Grated Cheese
- Place the sour cream and almond milk into a small saucepan.
- Place the saucepan on the stove top over medium to high heat and cook until simmering.
- Add the grated cheese, a quarter of a cup at a time until the sauce is cheesy to your liking.
- Serve immediately with vegetables, meat or in a cauliflower mac and chese.
