When you’re following a low carb diet like the keto diet, it can be tricky to find a suitable pizza sauce. You’ll discover that most bottles have hidden carbs and sugars.
You’ll be pleased to know that it’s actually easy to make it yourself. All you need is a can of chopped tomatoes and some ingredients to flavour your sauce to your liking.
This pizza sauce can be used as a sauce for your go to keto pizza of choice. Whether that’s a fathead, cauliflower or mushroom base. You could also use the sauce as a pasta type sauce and make a meaty bolognese.
With the below Keto pizzas, I topped portobello mushrooms with the pizza sauce and cheese and cooked in the oven at 200C/400F for 15 minutes.
Low Carb Pizza Sauce Recipe
- Can of Chopped Tomatoes
- Salt & Pepper
- Garlic
- Oregano
- Basil
- Pour the chopped tomatoes into a bowl.
- Add salt and pepper, to taste.
- Peel and crush the garlic and add to the tomatoes.
- Add oregano, basil and any other seasoning or herb, to taste.
- Mix together well and use as a sauce on your go to low carb pizza or pasta.
