Keto Breakfast Fry Up
When it’s the weekend I just LOVE big breakfasts. I empty the contents of my fridge into a frying pan and enjoy a slow and hearty breakfast.
In this instance I had a package of low carb sausages, a whole head of broccoli and some eggs to enjoy.
I fried them all up in heaps of butter and enjoyed my massive plate full of Keto Breakfast Foods. I’ve been experimenting with intermittent fasting lately, so tend to have a large breakfast and then a second meal much later in the day, which is kind of a cross between lunch and dinner.
That works well for me because I LOVE all things breakfast and breakfast foods, so a giant breakfast like this hits the spot perfectly after a 16+ hour intermittent fast.
You can of course mix and match whatever you have to hand, but here’s exactly what I did:
- Cook the sausages as they take the longest, by melting butter in a large frying pan and cooking them until done to my liking.
- Half way through cooking the sausages, I added a head of broccoli, which I chopped into bite sized pieces, along with more butter.
- I added more butter as the pan needed it and removed the broccoli and sausages once cooked.
- The frying pan was then wiped out to remove the excess grease. (I’m all for adding fat, but prefer not to cook my eggs in a pool of sausage grease.)
- A final knob of butter is added to the frying pan and then the eggs cooked to my liking.
- All the Keto Breakfast Fry up elements are moved to a plate and the big breakfast is enjoyed/inhaled.
